Calculus Made Easy

Chapter I

A little bit of. The sum of.

These dreadful symbols are:

(1) d which merely means “a little bit of.” Thus dx means a little bit of x; or du means a little bit of u. But you will find that these little bits (or elements) may be considered to be indefinitely small.

dx,du

(2) ∫ which is merely a long S, and may be called (if you like) “the sum of.” Thus ∫dx means the sum of all the little bits of x; or ∫dt means the sum of all the little bits of t.

∫dx,∫dt

The word “integral” simply means “the whole.” If you think of the duration of time for one hour, you may (if you like) think of it as cut up into 3600 little bits called seconds. The whole of the 3600 little bits added up together make one hour.

El cálculo al alcance de todos

Capítulo I

What matters when translating an EPUB to Japanese

If Japanese is already the language you want, what matters most is a reading copy that remains coherent and usable as a book after translation.

  1. Best for books you want to read in Japanese

Useful when Japanese is the target language and the goal is still a book you can continue reading naturally.

  2. The Japanese version should still feel book-like

A strong result is an EPUB that keeps chapter continuity and remains worth keeping for later reading.

  3. Review on desktop helps before you keep the Japanese version

Users often still want to inspect the translated book carefully before saving it as their reading copy.

  4. Useful when the target reading language is already fixed

The important result is a Japanese version you can review, save, and continue reading while still keeping the structure of the original book.
