One file at a timePDF conversion
Turn scanned pages into editable text or an EPUB for your ebook reader.
Recognizing the words is only the first step. A usable result also needs to preserve formulas, tables, layout, and reading order well enough for search, editing, and follow-up work.
Explore PDF conversion- EPUB
- EPUB adapts to your reader, with translated-only or bilingual output.
- Markdown
- Markdown gives you text you can edit, quote, and organize.
- Which PDFs are worth converting
- Scanned books, papers, textbooks, handouts, double-column layouts, and files packed with formulas, tables, or footnotes are where this workflow makes the biggest difference.
- What you get back
- You end up with EPUB or Markdown that is easier to search, copy, proofread, and build on, instead of image pages that still look right but stay locked down.
- How the work continues after export
- Review OCR and layout on desktop first, then keep exporting, archiving, or reading. If you switch devices, you can pick back up on iPhone and iPad too.
- Why this is more than basic OCR
- Recognizing the words is only the first step. A usable result also needs to preserve formulas, tables, layout, and reading order well enough for search, editing, and follow-up work.

Translate PDF and EPUB, with bilingual EPUB output
Choose a target language and add terminology or name preferences. PDFs can produce PDF, EPUB or Markdown; EPUBs can produce translated-only or bilingual editions.
- Keep the context
- Translation considers nearby text to help carry the meaning from one passage to the next.
- Specify names and terms
- Provide preferred translations for technical terms, names, and expressions before you begin.
- Read both languages
- Bilingual EPUB places the translation after the original passage, making it easier to check important details.
- Keep the book together
- Chapters, navigation, images, and reading structure are preserved where possible, with checks for structural errors.

EPUB or Markdown: which should I choose?
Choose EPUB for reading a book with adjustable text. Choose Markdown for editing, document processing or preparing text for a knowledge base. Neither should be treated as an exact visual copy of the PDF.
How should I check the result?
Compare headings, paragraph order and chapter boundaries with the PDF. For papers, inspect both columns, formulas, tables and footnotes. Correct recognition errors before reusing the text.
What affects OCR quality?
Blurred scans, skewed pages, small print and complex layouts can make recognition harder. Keep the original PDF so you can verify uncertain text; successful processing does not guarantee error-free output.
How much does conversion cost, and how long does it take?
Consult the pricing page for current charges. Processing time varies with the document and service workload; follow the task status rather than assuming a fixed completion time.
What does bilingual output look like?
In bilingual EPUB, the translation follows each original text block. It is not a two-column PDF. Choose translated-only output if you prefer a single-language edition.
