Calculus Made Easy

Chapter I

A little bit of. The sum of.

These dreadful symbols are:

(1) d which merely means “a little bit of.” Thus dx means a little bit of x; or du means a little bit of u. But you will find that these little bits (or elements) may be considered to be indefinitely small.

dx,du

(2) ∫ which is merely a long S, and may be called (if you like) “the sum of.” Thus ∫dx means the sum of all the little bits of x; or ∫dt means the sum of all the little bits of t.

∫dx,∫dt

The word “integral” simply means “the whole.” If you think of the duration of time for one hour, you may (if you like) think of it as cut up into 3600 little bits called seconds. The whole of the 3600 little bits added up together make one hour.

El cálculo al alcance de todos

Capítulo I

What matters when translating an EPUB to French

If French is already the language you want, what matters most is a reading copy that still feels usable as a book and keeps its chapter flow.

  1. Best for books you want to read in French

Useful for novels, nonfiction, study books, and other EPUBs where French is the language you want to read in rather than just a text export target.

  2. The output should still read like a book

A strong result is a French reading copy that keeps chapter flow and stays comfortable for longer reading sessions.

  3. Desktop review helps before long-form reading

After translation, it helps to check how the French text reads in context, catch obvious issues, and make sure the EPUB is worth keeping for later reading.

  4. Useful when the target reading language is already fixed

The important result is a French version you can review, save, and continue reading while still keeping the structure of the original book.
