You can start a PDF translation in a mobile browser, but there are two separate transfers to finish: the source file must upload, and the completed result must be saved to your phone. A preview tab is not proof that either transfer has produced a permanent local copy.
Have the source PDF available in your phone's file picker before opening the translation page. Keep it unchanged so you can compare the result later.
Make the source available to the file picker
Save an email attachment as a file, or locate it in Files, Downloads, or a cloud-drive app exposed through your phone's picker. A cloud file may need to download locally before it can be uploaded elsewhere. Wait for that step rather than selecting a placeholder repeatedly.
Check the filename and extension. A link to a document is not the same as the PDF itself, and a screenshot of a page is not a complete PDF book. If your source is a scan, inspect whether its smallest text is legible.
Use a stable connection for a large file and confirm that you are permitted to upload the document to an online service. If a device or workplace policy prevents file access, resolve that permission rather than moving the file through an unapproved account.
Submit from the browser with the right settings
Open PDF Craft's PDF page in your browser and sign in when prompted. Tap the file chooser, locate the PDF, and wait for the upload to finish. Selecting a file and completing an upload are separate states.
Choose the intended output. PDF output is for PDF translation. If you choose EPUB or Markdown, enable translation when you want the language changed as well as the format. Set the target language and add any useful instructions about terminology, names, or tone.
Review the plan before starting. Do not rely on the landing-page URL to choose your task parameters. Current limits and usage rates belong in the task interface and Pricing; a mobile workflow does not imply a separate free allowance or a different charging model.
This article describes the online browser workflow. It does not require or promise a separate mobile translation app.
Distinguish upload, processing, and download states
An interrupted upload is not a completed task. If it fails, retry the upload after checking your connection and access to the source file. Once a task has been created, inspect that task's state before submitting another copy.
Processing can take longer for a long or complex document. Do not infer a completion time from the PDF's appearance or repeatedly create tasks while waiting. Mobile browsers can also suspend background pages, so avoid treating an inactive tab as evidence that processing has failed.
When the task reports completion, use its download action. If the result opens in a browser preview, save it explicitly to your files. The iPhone download guide explains that last step for Safari and Chrome.
Save a copy you can find again
Choose a recognizable filename and folder, such as one dedicated to the project or book. Confirm that the saved extension matches the selected output. PDF, EPUB, and Markdown open in different kinds of apps.
A PDF reader suits fixed pages. An EPUB reader lets you adjust text where the book is reflowable. Markdown is usually more convenient in a text or notes editor; if accompanying resources are present, preserve them with the document.
Open the saved copy from your file manager, not just the original preview tab. This checks that the download was actually retained. File transfer to another device or reader uses that app's normal import or sharing method; downloading from PDF Craft does not itself provide cloud synchronization or device delivery.
Check one difficult page before continuing
Compare a heading, a paragraph, and a table or note with the source. On a phone, zooming can hide clipped lines or make a multi-column page hard to follow. Rotate the screen or inspect a particularly dense page on a larger display if needed.
For scanned material, distinguish an OCR error from a translation error. For a normal text PDF, still check names, numbers, and missing passages. The PDF translator comparison helps choose another route if the intended output does not fit your document.
Finish with two files you can locate: the original PDF and the downloaded result. That is a more dependable handoff than a browser tab you may close later.
